Perth Mint unveils 2019 Australian Bullion Coin Program for investors

Topics [ Australian Kangaroo platinum bullion coin silver bullion coins Australian Lunar Australian Koala gold bullion coins Australian Kookaburra Year of the Pig ]

The Perth Mint today unveiled the 2019 Australian Bullion Coin Program.

Beautiful new reverse images of iconic Australian fauna appear on the classic Australian Kangaroo, Kookaburra and Koala series. For the first time, these coins feature Jody Clark’s contemporary portrait of the Queen, who is depicted wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem. Each of these coins also includes a helpful security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within its reverse design.

The Australian Lunar Series II comes to a close with designs celebrating the Year of the Pig – the 12th and final animal represented in the Chinese zodiac. For consistency with preceding coins in this popular series, each new release portrays the well-known Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty.

99.99% Pure Gold | 99.99% Pure Silver | 99.95% Pure Platinum

Struck from pure gold, silver and platinum, the Australian Bullion Coin Program is meticulously crafted by The Perth Mint, Australia’s global leader in precious metals. With more than a century of minting experience, the historic institution is also Australia’s largest and most accredited refiner.

Recognised for more than three decades for its unsurpassed quality and outstanding value, the program comes with the complete assurance of our explicitly-stated government guarantee.

The Perth Mint has symbolised China’s iconic giant panda in a special privy mark version of the 2017 Australian Kookaburra 1oz Silver Bullion Coin.

The release marks our participation in this year’s Beijing International Coin Exposition (BICE), which takes place at the China National Convention Centre between 10 and 12 November.

China is a key destination for Australian bullion, with coins and bars valued at billions of dollars heading to the world’s largest consumer of gold annually.

According to Neil Vance, Group Manager – Minted Products, BICE offers the Mint a chance to meet face-to-face with large numbers of Chinese retail customers who appreciate the quality of its wide range of bullion and numismatic issues.

“This year we’re delighted to be able to offer Chinese buyers a pure silver coin show special featuring a privy mark representation of their national animal,” he said. “Combined with its very limited mintage of just 8,000, the coin is expected to become extremely popular.”

A small number of coins has been allocated for sale in Australia direct from The Perth Mint. Buyers are invited to order online at www.perthmintbullion.com or by phone on 1300 201 112.

Bullion coin update – sold out and new

Topics [ silver bullion coins Australian Kookaburra ]

SOLD OUT 2017 Perth Mint Silver Swan 1oz Bullion Coin

With a limited mintage of 25,000, the first Silver Swan coin proved highly desirable among Australian bullion coin enthusiasts. Glowing reactions to its elegant design, which drew inspiration from Perth’s historic association with Cygnus atratus, translated into a super quick sell out at the Mint. Such was the strength of demand that a number of would-be buyers were left disappointed by its rapid take up. On a positive note for those that missed out, prospects for a 2018 release are currently being firmed up.

SOLD OUT 2017 Year of the Rooster 1oz Silver Bullion Coin with Lion Privy

Anyone who secured the first privy mark coin of 2017 now has something to crow about. Not surprisingly, the Lunar Rooster silver release with a small Bavarian lion in the coin table proved exceptionally popular in Germany – one of the strongest international markets for Australian bullion. With only 30,000 coins in the mintage, our remaining stock was rapidly depleted by those keen to add this special rooster to their bullion nest eggs.

NEW  2017 Australian Kookaburra 1oz Silver Bullion Coin with Shark Privy Mark

Another privy mark coin to be hooked while stock remain, this Kookaburra release incorporates a miniature image of a great white shark. Perfect for investors looking to sink their teeth into silver, no more than 50,000 will be released worldwide.

To acquire this new privy mark silver coin in Australia visit The Perth Mint Bullion Trading Room at 310 Hay Street in East Perth, or call our Bullion Line on 1300 201 112. Alternatively, registered clients can order online at perthmintbullion.com.
