PERTH 1oz Year of the Rabbit coins from The Perth Mint’s 2011 Australian Lunar Gold and Silver Bullion Coin Series are officially ‘sold out’.
All 30,000 gold coins and 300,000 silver coins made under the Mint’s annual mintage limits have been shipped to a combination of wholesale and retail clients worldwide.
Demand for Australian Lunar coins is booming.
During the preceding three years, The Perth Mint sold its full quota of 1oz gold coins celebrating the 2008 Year of the Mouse, 2009 Year of the Ox and 2010 Year of the Tiger.
In silver, only the 1oz Year of the Mouse release remains available for purchase.
Primarily aimed at investors, the 99.99% pure gold and 99.9% pure silver bullion coins attract significant interest from collectors aiming for a complete collection of all 12 designs in the series.
