THE PERTH MINT LAUNCHES THE 10 KILO ROOSTER
The Perth Mint’s highly anticipated launch of the Australian Lunar – 2017 Year of the Rooster gold and silver bullion coins series has concludes with the release of the 10 kilo silver bullion coin.
These magnificent silver coins celebrate the Year of the Rooster, one of 12 animals associated with the ancient Chinese lunar calendar. The birth dates for people ruled by the Chinese Lunar rooster include 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, and 2017. Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be hardworking, loyal, honest, and sociable.
Meticulously struck from 99.99% pure silver in bullion quality, the coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will produce up to 100 of the highly anticipated 10 kilo coins on a mint-to-order basis. Production will cease when the mintage is fully sold or at the end of the series, whichever occurs first.
